I hear similarities to ST VI and a lot of otherwise grand action music. Never saw the movie. Sounds like it was scored straight up instead of going for a comedic tone.

Yes, yes, oh YES!!!!! My #1 Holy Grail, finally!!! Another example of why Intrada is my all-time-favorite label. Instant buy... and a HUGE thank you! P.S. If you like ST:VI this is as score for you as well.

Having never seen the film, I was actually going to pass on this one, but, based on a single listen to the above suite, I've totally changed my mind. What a nice, addictive main theme--reminds me a little of THE LAST STARFIGHTER. ("Never say never.")

A fun angle for Williams fans, while watching the film, is to try to pick out all the obvious temp-track selections from Star Wars. Robert Townsend was clearly a fan.

Seriously, no matter what the project I think Cliff Eidelman is one of the few composers working in film who has never produced a bad score...only ones that may disappoint a bit compared with others efforts of his. I hope his unreleased back catalogue continues to be explored -- expansions/remasters besides STVI would be great, too! Yavar
