Never heard of Ducale but I assume it is one of those European quickies made to take advantage of their copyright laws (here they would be boots). Otherwise a clean remastered version of either I would think would get individual release (and a lot of attention and hoopla) and cost quite a bit more.

I am sure that is from the music & effects track. Will you include any Diabolic music at your New York gig? I hope you are feeling better!

From the album cover, this is probably a re-recording? To me that sounds like the worst possible choice for a re-recording. As much I love Morricone, I don't think you can reproduce this 60s sound unless you use the same instruments/studios/recording equipments, which I would be surprised is the case here...

I dunno about that....cover text says "complete original scores" and the images are from the films. Also it's a 2-CD release.
No mention about the music source for DIABOLIK, but FOR A FEW$ could be the 38-cue (24 track) restored version that was never released:

RETRO 902
The music for "Diabolik" can be classified among the most spectacular achievements of Ennio Morricone, written in 1967 when the composer was at a particularly fruitful.
Inexplicably, the recording industry has not devoted proper attention to the soundtrack of "For a Few Dollars More", now available in a exhaustive world premiere of 38 tracks.

Sorry to disappoint guys, but these are cover versions by the Solisti e Orchestre del cinema Italiano.

I'm almost desperate enough to have the complete score, to buy this.

I just wonder how good/bad it will be.

Samples would be appreciated as soon as possible.

How much do you want for a copy Bill?

Does it have the Colonel meets The Hunchback cue?

dunno, though it says complete original scores.

wish I had wrote that. Oh wait, I did...but looks like I was wrong if this is a re-recording after all ("Solisti e Orchestre del cinema Italiano"), as Acer pointed out.

This appears to be another CD in a series of re-recordings by the so-called "Solisti e Orchestre del Cinema Italiano." Here's one I had:

http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Sergio-Leone-Movies-Morricone/dp/B008L69J34/ref=sr_1_43?ie=UTF8&qid=1395758109&sr=8-43&keywords=Ennio+Morricone

I got rid of it. It sounded like synthesizers.

I agree that "Original Scores" is completely misleading. Sounds like a bit ripoff.

at least DIABOLIK is on the retail radar. Still hopeful for the mono music-only tracks, someday.

Depends, what type of comb did you use?

one with teeth missing henry, for a really bad sound and bum notes.

chris, as its one of a kind, super rare and is complete with an extra track we made up, i think in the $200 plus postage, so another $100. then theres the window tax for the shed and the fact its autographed Ennio morricone " i chose the running order of this cd and everything has been done by Claudio fuiano without any help from anyone else." but looks suspiciously like my postmans writing.

i dont think it has the hunchback cue you mention but i could always pop to my shed and add it.
so its a 40 track complete now. $400.!!!

It's a bargain, well worth the money, sadly I'm a little short right now but when I've saved up enough cash, the cheque will be in the post big grin

I refuse to give up hope that someday we will get decent (FAFDM) and official (DIABOLIK) releases of these scores ...
I refuse! big grin

I'll never give up hope either.

Surely someone somewhere will release the complete score from FAFDM, on the other hand I've only been waiting for 48 years (approx) so I guess I can wait a little longer.

i was hearing noises that he was mellowing about Fafdm. Flat Ennio no's a few years ago.
imagine the moment where olivier refuses to swallow another diamond, stares defiantly at hoffmann and says, emphatically No!!
well, a No something like that.
in recent years though, less hostile and more shrugs and Maybes. which made people in the cd production circle think it would happen...soon. But so far no progress.
keen fans could maybe realise that 1 day - and im sad to bring this up but it is a reality - when andrea is put in charge of decisions for his fathers musical legacy - you may all get all the music you want then.
