Elfman also completed his first-ever trilogy with the MEN IN BLACK films recently. Not my favourite scores of his, but still.

    Shore and all things Tolkien.

Yeah, but did Elmer actually write new/unique music for those sequels or were they mere re-recorded adaptation jobs?

Police Academy series -- Robert Folk...

Christopher Young -- Hellraiser I and II!

Bruce Rowland -- Man from Snowy River and Return to Snowy River

Basil Poledouris -- Conan was mentioned but what about Robocop and Robocop III?

Sawtell/Shefter for the original The Fly and sequels (yes, one of the sequels only had one of them I know).

Does Horner for Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger count, or not since he didn't score the "original", The Hunt for Red October?

Then there are composers who use themes composed by their predecessors for a sequel, like Waxman using Newman compositions for Demetrius and the Gladiators, and Rozsa with Stothart on the Miniver sequel...
