Except for the missing end credits song and track order that makes no sense, it's great to finally see this one available after all those years. Not that many major Eidelman's scores left, but it would be also nice to finally see Sexual Life released and Open Window on CD. The end credits song, although partially composed by Eidelman, it was impossible to include. In fact, the bundles rights of this song were to blame for the soundtrack album was not released at the time. About the track order, this album, as you can read in the credits, has been produced by Cliff Eidelman himself, he has contractually the right to do in this way and we have respected his wish.

Anyway, no one seems very interested on this CD. I love Cliff Eidelman's music, and Delirious and Crazy People were at the top of our wish-list, but they have been (along Canadian Bacon) the three bigger flops of our label, and all three were expensive productions. In the case of Delirious, we have not sold even 500 units yet. Bad times for comedy scores. And, of course, we will not put John Candy on any cover art anymore ;-)

I have both Crazy People and Delirious and like them both (Crazy People more than Delirious though purely because of liking the movie more). The high quality liner notes of both releases is worth a special mention. Anyway, just wanted to show my gratitude for two wonderfully produced scores. I now have three Eidelman scores (the other non-Quartet release being Star Trek VI). I wish you well for future releases, Quartet Records.

But I want to let you know I must be part of an exclusive club, because I have Delirious, Crazy People and Canadian Bacon in my collection and they are very good scores. Well, this board is strange when it comes to comedy titles. They want unreleased scores released and when one is released, they pass over it to buy a re-re-re-re-release of a score that is called "remastered" with a few extra cues of the composer plunking on a piano. Please do not give up hope on these small scores, there are people out there that like them, just hope people see that these scores need to be supported or some other scores will not see release. I would buy these type of scores over most of the "Golden" age scores and the new movie scores that labels are releasing today. Once again, I am sorry these are not selling well and I will keep supporting your label as I have in the past.

We sympathize with José from Quartet. Yes, it's a shame that comedy scores don't sell quite well. MV from LLL had already stated this in a previous thread, we can confirm that we also sit on a bunch of unsold Shore's "She-Devil" and Silvestri's "Clean Slate" CDs. We can assume that there are plenty of excellent comedy scores to listen and they can compete with fantasy/action scores. But it's not the same listening pleasure but when we like film music, we need to be more curious towards all the movie genres. Too bad because scores like "Crazy People" are the kind of scores which are exquisite and well written. It's nice to see that labels such as Quartet (and the mains ones as well!) always give the opportunity to make discover comedy scores even though only a few soundtracks collectors show interest in this. It is a shame because of it, there won't be anymore comedy scores to be released... Maybe next time put John Candy with a gun and car explosions on the cover, it will help to sell more! ;-) Anyway keep up the good work José and all the label managers about comedy scores! Hope it will change…someday!

I was thinking of purchasing both Delirious and Crazy People, but since they were "flops" that might mean a future price reduction? Look, I know Quartet would like people to pay full price, but I only have so many dollars to spend on soundtracks, and when an item I paid full price for goes down in price after I buy it... well, that really bugs me. As for paying full price to "support the label", that's all well and good, but I'd prefer to leave that chore to those individuals with an income level higher than mine. In any case, I own a number of other Quartet CDs that I did pay full price for (including Canadian Bacon), so if the other two are going to be lower priced in the future, I see nothing wrong with me stating that I am willing to wait for a reduction.

Could you slap them a little harder? I hope that they never have to put these on sale and you will miss out on the titles. Why did you have to post this. You must like hitting someone when they are already down. Sometimes I just have to shake my head at some of the people on this board (including a few record producers) and see why so many people have left.
