My Personal favorite is Ennio Morricone's THE UNTOUCHABLES,
One of my favorite movies also.

Great release by LaLaLand by the way.

What's yours?

-

Of course he's still alive.

I'm just asking a simple question + demonstrating how in bad taste it is to start these kind of threads less than 24 hours after a filmmaker has passed on.

And I Think I made my point very clearly too.

THE UNTOUCHABLES is probably my favourite followed by DANCES WITH WOLVES then followed by WYATT EARP, OPEN RANGE and WATERWORLD.

The worst is possibly NO WAY OUT, an appalling score from a composer I love a lot. Absolute synth dross!

Thirteen Days, with Dances with Wolves a close second.

Hmm

JNH's Waterworld or Horner's Field of Dreams. I liked Dancing with Wolves in the movie but found the release rather repetitive & boring.

Good question... I guess maybe Waterworld or Dances With Wolves, followed by Watt Earp

For me it's a toss-up between The Untouchables and Thirteen Days.

When you get three scores by three greats in one acting career, you're more than lucky.

DANCES WITH WOLVES by John Barry

THE UNTOUCHABLES by Ennio Morricone

JFK by John Williams

Didn't Costner even get a Maurice Jarre score for NO WAY OUT, or am I mis-remembering that score?

My Three Costner faves (in no special order) are:
Dances with Wolves by John Barry
The Untouchables by Ennio Morricone
Robin Hood by Michael Kamen

It’s a toss between “Field Of Dreams” or “Dances With Wolves” – however – if I had to pick one, I would need to go for James Horner’s “Field Of Dreams” –
I also love “Waterworld”, and I almost forgot about “Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves” – a shame that none of these scores got a definitive release by our soundtrack companies!

...as for the worst score and film starring Kevin Costner – “Man Of Steel”. – (sorry people – I really hate that film!)

Fandango (Silvestri)
Testament (Horner)
Silverado (Broughton) - can't believe nobody mentioned this score!!
Robin Hood POT (Kamen)
Waterworld (JNH)
JFK (Williams)

Also, a shout out for Amazing Stories - The Mission, also by John Williams.
