Are there more titles planned in this series, or are we about done?

Titles I would like to see:

Old Yeller
Johnny Tremain
Alice In Wonderland
Swiss Family Robinson
Pollyanna

What titles would you like to see?

Haven't all the Legacy Collection been expanded animated or live action/animated scores? (Other than some Magic Kingdom music.) I would love to see "Swiss Family" but not holding my breath. The live action scores would probably come out through Intrada.

I believe Mary Poppins was the only live action film score in this collection. If they continue the collection, I think only "Alice in Wonderland" from that list that will be included, which would be in 2016 for it's 65th anniversary. I would love it if Disney expanded their classic scores. They did a great job with "The Lion King," "Toy Story," "The Little Mermaid," "Pocahontas" and even "The Aristocats." My dream list is "Beauty and the Beast," "Aladdin," "Hunchback of Notre Dame," "Mulan," and an expanded "Snow White." I would love to that cue where the dwarfs chase the hag up the mountain.

I'm curious to know how well these sets sold. No doubt that "The Lion King," "The Little Mermaid," and possibly "Pocahontas" have done very, very well.

Would love the series to continue as it seems the only way we might get Mulan.

I've quite enjoyed this series and would like to have other Disney titles. Jungle Book, Beauty, Aladdin, Alice, Hunchback, Snow White, Toy Story 2, to name a few...

I wish they didn't make this into an "anniversary" thing. It just delays future releases.

Agreed. Once the anniversary fever is out of their system, it would be nice for this series to really accelerate further.

Seems the Legacy collection stops with ARISTOCATS...

Why do you say that? Was there a press release?

I have an ad from Disney Music Emporium that keeps popping up in my Facebook feed that states: "Complete your collection with the final installment of Walt Disney Records Collection!" Sorry, I am unable to link to it.

They put an awful lot of work particularly in presentation and package design. That along with being "anniversary editions" makes me think the series will continue, unless the first batch sold horribly.

I really can't imagine the rest of the 90's scores not getting the same treatment, since those masters are probably well preserved and complete. Beauty and the Beast is a no brainer.

Well, let's hope this is the case. However, if they release any more Walt-era scores, not only should they be expanded further if at all possible, but some of them could use some some serious remastering (correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe scores like Snow White, Peter Pan, and especially Alice in Wonderland has some sections taken from MFX tracks).

It would be rediculous to do Pocohontas and not Beauty and the Beast. They cant stop now. Or maybe the sales were underestimated when they set the initial list of titles?

Still, I'd like to think that if they cease releases like this, they will send it to Intrada.

God, where are the volumes and volumes of scores from the 'live action' films and TV serials of the 50's and 60's. This is the real gold mine. Everything from 'Treasure Island' through 'Davy Crockett' and right up to 'The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh', etc. etc. etc. With a bevy of top flight British composers plus sterling work from George Bruns, Oliver Wallace, etc.

That's Intrada's territory (Candleshoe, Escape to Witch Mountain) and I'm sure their getting things out as fast as they can.

Today Disney's ad on my feed reads "All 12 soundtracks from Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection have been released! Complete your collection today!" Sounds final.

Do they answer questions on Facebook? Has anyone asked if the there might be a "Phase 2"?

Clearly, if they sold well, there will be more. Disney would not limit this series to one year of anniversaries for no reason (though I suppose they might rebrand them with some other series name and a different style of artwork if they felt short series appealed more to Disney collectors).

If they didn't sell well enough to justify their continued existence, then that's that. As with anything else in the world.
