I'm sure there must be a thread on this score somewhere, but nothing shows up in the search, probably because somebody misspelled Spider-Man or something. Anyhoo, I've been listening to this score virtually nonstop lately and while I liked it the first time, each subsequent listen simply turns up more and more brilliance in the details. This is one ridiculously fun and exuberant score, the only fault of which I can find is the surprising, occasional Elfman/Walker Batmanesque quote, but even those are brief and few enough so as to not detract from my overall enjoyment. Has Giacchino written a greater score than this or is Spider-Man: Homecoming indeed the "World's Toe-Tappingest Michael Giacchino Score?"

I obviously have to check it out again. But for me Giacchino´s finest hour remains JOHN CARTER.

There’s a 2-CD expanded promo of JOHN CARTER out there. It would be great if some soundtrack outfit could release it. I’d grab it in a heartbeat.

As for his Dawn and War for the Planets of the Apes scores - I do like them a lot, just as I like his LOST work. But JOHN CARTER is miles ahead for me.

As I said in the thread you can't find, the best thing in this whole score is when he finally plays the B section of the theme "heroically" in the end credits (it's mostly used more quietly and during scene transitions). The Vulture theme is painful to listen to, and not just because it's clearly modeled after Silvestri's Avengers theme (which, yes, makes some sense because of Vulture's big beef with them).

I always hear Goldsmith's Final Conflict when I hear the baddie theme in this. It really puts me off. But the Main Spidey Theme is catchy as hell. A real earworm. I like this score in small doses.

Medal of Honor was Giacchino's finest hour I agree with this. Full orchestrations, great sound. What the hell happened?

His Spider-man score is just flat and bland
