Roger's clue for this release is a bit more vague than usual:

A 2-CD Set that features music!

Maybe Disney theme park music ?
Wasn't there supposed to be a Bruce Broughton Theme Park release talked about a while back ?
Or was that already released ?

Maybe it'll finally be Conan the Destroyer or Apollo 13. Still hoping these are sooner rather than later - just been hoping that for a while now lol.

Theme park music not released yet.

It has to be a Horner. Roger said there were three still to come in 2018 and it's already mid September! Apollo 13... Willow...

Yeah, this thread will be a long one. Like January's 'Disney 3-CD set' thread which went on forever... Roger was deliberately vague about that title too. And when he used the word 'gumshoe' everyone knew it straightaway.

Everyone, prepare to flail!

I think this title will be a biggie.

On a side note I hope they finish out the Tinker Bell series and release more classic live action Disney scores from the 70's. They had a banging start then it kinda sorta stopped.

Over at Intrada forum, user litefoot made this summarization up from composers name dropped earlier this year:

So Roger's list of composers for 2018 is slowly shrinking, and we are now left with:

Conti
Horner 1
Horner 2
Horner 3
Rubinstein (Another Stakeout)
Steiner
Barry
Delerue

with release slots theoretically being 18/9, 2/10, 16/10, 30/10, 13/11 and 27/11.

Eight composers but six slots - so they're presumably doubling up at some point. They don't usually release titles in mid-December.

Plans can change of course

Presumably this can help us narrow down what this release is.

Roger expanded his clue to read:

A 2-CD set from the late '80s features an expanded presentation of a film that's...how do I describe it, actually? Let's say this release sci-fi/fantasty epic in a tea cup is hot off the griddle and ready for you to move in! Oh and there was a slice of music that didn't make it into the film.

Well, that's Willow finally sorted then.

Ok, Roger says not.

"Yeah if all you read is blah blah blah fantasy blah blah blah."

Ghostbusters II is sci-fi/fantasy I guess, but I thought that property was off the table until the powers that be decide what they were doing with the franchise.

There's also Batteries Not Included, and it *is* a Horner...

... or Conti's MOTU again (maybe as a MAF now) !

For sure it's batteries.

The "grill" scene with the little spaceship and eggs.

Was on the edge hoping it was Willow

Of course! They're cooking meals in the kitchen aren't they?

And doesn't one of them fix a broken teacup?

I actually prefer this to Willow.

That would be crazy. It's been out often enough. No, it's Batteries.
