I love this score, bar the Axel F rip off theme. VERY early 90s house music sound with rave piano house breaks and 909 house drum beats. Sounds in places like QDIIIs music for Fresh Prince of Bel Air, the stuff done in the early 90s.

This should have really have been the score for Beverly Hills Cop III. frown

Very house and garage sounding score. Faltermeyer was always sate of the art smile

My everyday prayers are that LLL reissues KUFFS at some point!

It's a great Faltermeyer score and definitely needs a proper CD release.

All the old Milan copies I've been able to see till now look bronzed...

They've always been Bronzed... Kuffs was the second soundtrack I ever bought back in 1993.

1# - SLEEPWALKERS - Nicholas Pike

2# - KUFFS - Harold Faltermeyer

3# - DRACULA - Wojciech Kilar

4# - SPLIT SECOND - Francis Haines & Stephen Parsons

all at my local CD shop.

The KUFFS CD have indeed always been bronzed. But the rest of the Milan presentation isn't exactly the best - the front cover is a grainy black and white picture, and they haven't even managed to get the liner notes paragraphs (written in 1990, the CD was released in 1992!) in the right order.

But I'm glad the score was released, it's a fun listen.

Exactly! Calling LaLaLand, please come to the rescue!

I don't mind the grainy cover art, that was the original poster art if I'm not misstaken.

Never mind, 11 years late.

I still have it in mint condition, haven´t listened to it for over 15 years I think (and worse, haven´t seen the movie since it was released back in 1992)

Some versions at least have some more color:

I just hope MV, or someone else at LLL, is reading this suggestion for a new release...

Haha, if it were a limited edition of 20 copies, it still wouldn't sell out. Fun theme, though.

Congratulations with today's most stupid post. Faltermeyer have fans in both the film music AND pop music field. And he sold millions of records in the 80s of Axel F. I'm quite sure Kuffs would have sold at least 2000 copies.

I'd like to thank the little people.

But really, 2000 copies? In today's market? We're talking about Kuffs, right? Well, good luck with your new label, Incredibly Niche Market, Like, Exclusively Music First Breath Would Buy Only Soundtrax!

Intrada does pretty well with those 80s synth releases -- hell The Delta Force got reissued (by someone else, granted). Certainly there's just as big enough a market for a Faltermeyer release compared to, say a couple completely obscure Alex North scores (and NO this is not a diss on that release, just a comparison)
