Okay, I'm an old spy theme collector from the 60s. In fact, I find myself stuck in the 60s because I love that sound that was so iconic with spy films.
One of my guilty pleasures is the Matt Helm films and some of the music that connected those films. To be more specific, Murderers' Row and The Wreaking Crew are two soundtracks I would love to own.
I have inquired about this request before and was told that Columbia was not going to let it happen. Yet, I still have my hopes up and that one day the music from these films will see the light of day.
Does anyone else share my passion?

As I have stated in another thread, I really enjoyed Hugo Montenegro's over-the-top lounge score for The Wrecking Crew.
Totally agree. For some reason this score is a great deal of fun. Very hip over-the-top. I would welcome it and I think many would agree with me

You're preaching to the choir, baby! A box set of all 4 soundtracks plus those little parodies Dean sings would kick ass! The question is, will it happen in our lifetimes?
Since I probably have on average 25 more years of my life left, the chances are beginning to look bleak. I can only hope that the tapes still exist and that FSM, Intrada, La La Land, et. al. can bring them to us collectors.

Thought I'd dust off this old thread in hopes that one of the CD companies is willing to locate the tapes or sources of the old Dean Martin spy spoofs. Some of the music is quite catchy and fun. I'd even take a mono version of these scores.

I'm not too sure how old you are but if our generation decided to omit any decade where music icons ruled, then we might as well hang up everything else. I personally am grateful for those who spend weeks and months searching for lost scores and successfully convert them from analog hell to digital health. So I don't know what you mean when you wrote that certain icons do not deserve 'rediscovering'. I welcome anything and everything only because it is history and we need to preserve it.

In the past, many scores released by the record label of this message board and others were produced because a studio was remastering them to HD and were able to salvage the score and FX tracks. From these I assume the record producers were able to create a newly recorded score of said film title and release it to the world. Recently the 1960 Matt Helm movies have been shown on The Sony Movie Channel which is broadcast in true high definition. Is it possible that a Matt Helm CD Box is on the horizon or am I just too hopeful for a miracle.
