I want to know! Does he like the 16 ounce black angus or a nice 8 ounce filet? After all, these composers are human. I think it would be interesting to know if they ever get inspired by the nightly specials at the local Olive Garden.
Also, Did Alfred Newman like Kung Pao chicken? Did Bernard Herrmann ever go to Hamburger Harry's on 46th Street and eat their pizza mushroom burger? Also, does John Debney like the Hooters wings?
I think this is so relevant and important that it overshadows whether or not film music is important in society. (Not really, but at least it's fun)
By the way, I'm gonna need some help stripping down this dolphin cause I want a tuna fish sandwich right now! Nah. I'll just go down to Johnny Rockets and hang with Joel McNeely.
Well, I like that dipping sauce for the bloomin onion. But do you think Jerry would go for that? I would think that he'd feel that the sauce would be too rich.
Besides, I don't know if they still do this anymore at Outback, but I think Jerry would get a kick out of the bucket of peanuts and dropping the shells on the floor.
No idea, but I had a classmate in one of my film classes who spotted Nicolas Cage at a Bob's Big Boy several years ago in Los Angeles. He was sitting in the next booth over, but he didn't want to bother him for an autograph. He was having "a really big steak and looked like he was really enjoying," as my friend said.
Yeah, the peanut shells on the floor, but I hope Jerry doesn't discard his finished cigarette butts on the floor as well!! Jeez, they'd pay those waiters a ransom in overtime pay!! Jeez!...
Funny you should mention that. I ran into Francis Ford Coppola at an Italian restaurant called Johnnies on 45th and Broadway in NYC. He had a huge laugh cause I was fartin up a storm after eating some real questionable marinara sauce on my eggplant

loftybeck Well, just remember what Buddha said, You can never be too rich or too ZEN! HAH! GET IT?
Yes! Jerry Goldsmith does eat at Outback. And when Jerry's finished his steak and gone home, James Horner goes "outback" in the restaurant dumpster to feast on Jerry's leftovers.
Jim, Goldsmith loves the smokes!! Yes he does, and at his age, he's long beyond "the patch". Let's just hope he lives a long life, and lives long enough to FINALLY win that second, and possibly final "Oscar" for something better than "Revenge of The Tuna Casserole Men"!!!
Timmer, You stole my line from a previous post!! Aww, that's alright, but I believe Jamie's just as satisfied from the remnants of Goldsmith's "feast" from behind The "Outback Steakhouse" anyway!! Not too much meat left on the bones...Kinda like "Jamies" music anyhow...
Jerry DOES eat at Outback! My wife & I ran into him there, and he was with two lovely ladies (I'm guessing they were his wife, and Lois Carruth ) munching on a full platter of Alaskan King Crab legs! They looked so juicy and good that we ordered the same! Mmmmmm!
I have much much more respect for Jerry Goldsmith, knowing now he did go to the Outback Steakhouse. Shows everyone that composers are human, which is somthing that people sometimes forget.
Now as far as the Alaskan crablegs. Never had these at Outback. Are they any good?
