I thought this may help others as well, but I know I need it for so many out there. I try to pronounce a few, but after finding another film score fan and comparing pronunciations, I realized I don't know exactly how to say certain names.
I'll go first: Michael Giacchino (MY-kul juh-KEE-no) [I heard him pronounce it himself in an interview; before that I thought it was Jee-uh-CHEE-no]
And I have one specific question: Is it Bruce Brow-tun or Bruce Brah-tun?
Hard to phoneticize in English. I guess it's like "jar", but the j pronounced much softer, like a sound between a J and a SH. Not sure, but maybe like the "zh" in "Zhivago".
Ok, Bronislau is easy enough, but what about Kaper? "Capper?"
Carper or Cahrper
I would think it would be "KAY-per", but maybe not.
Here's what I've thought so far, but it could very well be wrong: I always thought Jarre was "jar", but I heard someone else say "jzar-AY" Moross, I think, is "more-OSE"
