Agreed, Kevin--charming in the extreme. It and GRAND CANYON are the James Newton Howard scores that made me a JNH fan.

I remember seeing this film in the theater in 1993, and found the score very uninteresting. And I usually like JNH. Forrest Gump is a far better score, IMO.

I remember seeing this film in the theater in 1993, and found the score very uninteresting. And I usually like JNH. Wow. Maybe you should listen again. Really. Even if you didn't like it back then (which is pretty shocking), the last 10 years or so of dreck will more than likely make Dave sound like the greatest score ever.

A wonderful score that served the film perfectly. I particularly like the cue...er don't remember the title, but it's when Dave does his first appearance as the President and does the "God bless America" bit. The music is lively and memorable in that sequence.

Film and score, I like them both. Nice main titles. I rate them the same as The American President, another of my personal favourites.

Is anyone else having this problem with the expanded release? At the end of track 19, "Bedrooms/Bob Drops Bomb/Keep Moving", the sound drops out for a-quarter-of-a-second before segueing into track 20.

I loved "Dave" the movie as well as "Dave" the James Newton Howard score. But this is the first I've heard of an expanded soundtrack, but I see that this thread goes back to 2011, before I had ever heard of this site. Here's the last 10 minutes of the movie, where Sigourney Weaver shows up at Dave's campaign headquarters: https://soundcloud.com/ron-hardcastle/end-of-dave

DAVE score was expanded early this year... There are other threads about it. I searched and searched for them but must not have used just the right words to bring them up. I assume the expanded CD sold out?
