I'd always wanted an expanded release, especially if it included the track where little Jamie Lloyd becomes evil in the film's final scene and attacks her stepmother. But given Howarth's tendency to tinker with these reissues, I'm hesitate. I think I'll wait until this is out and others have gotten it to hear their thoughts on it.
Ive always loved the cover of this album. I could never work out why they used the original Shape-Shatner mask for all the promotional material but not in the film itself. Big letdown!
Considering that the original mask is burned up at the end of the second film and he gets a new one in the fourth, it is a little strange that they used the original in the poster art (and again for the fifth as well). Probably just for familiarity, though, I suppose.
The melted Shatner mask looks far more interesting than the smooth and featureless mask used in the sequel(s). That makes sense why the poster art prominently features it.
I like most of the sequel masks (except for the one in H20 and the Zombie remake), but the original is obviously the best.
I used to have a really good Michael Myers mask that lasted me from about 1996-2001. I'd love to get another one, but it's hard to find good ones that are affordable. I bought mine in a regular Halloween store, but nowadays you can only find these really crappy-looking ones with wild Doc Brown-esque hair in those kinds of places.
