This seems hard to believe but the original soundtrack from Ulysses 31 will be finally released in December along with the re-orchestrated one.

Read it on : www.parallax.fr

More details to follow.....

So, the track list for the original one would be like the one that was released some days ago?
http://www.amazon.fr/Ulysse-31-Compilation/dp/B007O0CV9C/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1338621103&sr=8-5

or like the previous release of the score?

No, the tracklist will be the original titles used by the original composers in 1981. The CD´s you mention have used newly invented titles for the background score.
The tracklisting should be available soon on www.parallax.fr

Oh, ok.
Let's hope then that it's a "complete" score, and it isn't missing anything that was there in the previous editions.
I love that score.

by the way: i tried a custom translation of the site, and from what I understood the 2cd will be a limited release of 1000 and it will be sold exclusively from that site.
I hope they make an english version of it for better access//

As far as I understand it, there has been found 60 minutes of music (on stereo tape)and the score should be almost complete. Considering that this score was supposedly lost and that it never saw an official release in 31 years, this seems astounding!

Yes, 1000 units will be made and sold exclusively on the parallax website. Pre-orders start in October

Isn't the Loga-Rythme an official release?
anway, the score there is about 57 minutes, so I guess there isn't anything missing in this new release.

Although I'd prefer if they had also single disc versions of the score (I mean the original soundtrack alone, without the revisited one)

I am sure that the Loga-CD is legit but this upcoming release does not seem to have the music by Saban/Levy or do I misunderstand the item description ??

I don't know what exact tracks from the previous release are by Saban/Leby and which are not.
Maybe the songs are by them, and the score by Crocket/Egan?

If yes, I could do without the songs in the new release..

The Loga-Rythme release contained almost 15 minutes of songs and more than 10 minutes of music by Saban/Levy. Makes about 32 minutes of music by Crockett/Egan.

The new original soundtrack release contains 60 minutes of music by Crockett/Egan, no songs and no music by Saban/Levy. Only original Crockett/Egan material from a master tape.

The Loga-Rythme CD was made from video tape extractions which made the results sound very low-quality.

Oh by the way, this release is a single disc but will apparently be sold together with the re-orchestrated tracks.

oh, so you know, what are the Saban/Levy tracks?
Could you please point them out in the Loga release, to see what we'll be missing? if that's no big trouble, that is..

Sure, the saban/levy tracks are the following:

- 13. Ulysse rencontre Ulysse
- 17. Thème des dieux
- 19. Chronos, le maître du temps
- 20. Récits et légendes
- 36. La cité de Cortex
- 38. Les sirènes
- 40. Retour sur terre

There you have it, all the saban/levy orchestral pieces that will not be included on the new original soundtrack.

UFO can you please notify us when there is a preorder?
You had said something about October. I can't see where is this mentioned.
I don't know any French, and can't really find my way through that site.
And i wouldn't like to miss this release!
