Good stuff. I would love to hear his X2 theme make an appearance.

Ottman's is my least favourite X-Men score so... unimpressed.

Likewise, but that was because of the direction Singer wanted him to go in.

The end credits suite from his X2 score is my favorite track from the album, but overall this is the least played of all the X-MEN scores (granted, I don't have X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE). X3 is tops in my book, followed by FIRST CLASS and then Kamen's X-MEN. I think Ottman's score for X2 works great in the film itself, though, which is of course the main thing that matters. Regardless, I still like Ottman's music and appreciate that his fully orchestral and thematic music will be part of this upcoming movie.

So a full on time travel movie featuring two casts? I hadn't heard about this sequel yet, sounds promising if they get it right. Ottman's score has grown on me after the La-La expansion, not a bad choice to score it.

Understandably it is Ottman. In my perfect fantasy world, Henry Jackman and John Powell provide the score.

Bummed.

...and the negativity runs rampant.

I enjoy Ottman's X2 quite a bit, and look forward to hearing what he will do with this.

Though it was no surprise Ottman would be coming back I'm still looking forward to what he comes up with for the movie.

have to say i am not super excited either. though if this movie runs toward the original franchise it was the right choice. but jackman did an incredible job with first class i thought. one of my favorite scores of that year. so i will miss it. all depends on what this crazy movie ends up being.

Same here. I really like his X2 theme, and the LLL release really fleshes out his score. I also loved what he did recently with Jack the Giant Slayer and hope he can continue in an older, romantic style of big sweeping themes.

Yet say a negative word about Zimmer and you're applauded. I found little of interest in Ottman's X2 score, so it is quite natural that I'm not looking forward to this score.

I love and still have my copies of the two issues of the X-Men that the movie is based on. Can't wait to ,see if the score can be heard over Wolverine slicing and dicing large purple and grey robots.

In the perfect world, Powell and Jackman won't provide a single score for anything ever again.

I so hope they will make an appearance in this movie!

Henry Jackman's score to First Class was intrusive and rather annoying, so this is good news.

I think X2 is the best movie, so I am glad to see Singer directing another one. Ottman's X2 is also great, and Jack the Giant Slayer is Ottman's best to date IMHO so Ottman returning to to the X-Men franchise is great news all the way around.
