Maybe this was mention before, can't find it, What theme would you like to hear before you exit this world? I was thinking of AGNUS OF GOD because it has such a uplifting spiritual vibe to it. I also feel this way with ENNIO MORRICONE'S theme for GUNS FOR SAN SEBASTIAN, then KING OF KINGS WOULD BE COOL TOO. Any choices folks

"On Earth as it is in Heaven", from Morricone's "The Mission".

And, yes, YOR is an atheist!

Always thought i'd go out to the Finale from "The Robe".

Who could ask for more than a rousing Alfred Newman send off ?

From around the 0:55 mark on here :

Or, on a lighter note, how about Anthony Newley's "When You Gotta Go" ? big grin

For me, it would have to be the final notes of Gustav Mahler's "Symphony No. 2 in C minor 'Resurrection.'"

or perhaps the final notes of Sir Edward Elgar's oratorio, "The Apostles."

I think Edward G Robinson set a sterling example in his (very moving) SOYLENT GREEN death scene: Morning Mood from Grieg's PEER GYNT, Beethoven's 6th, and Tchaikovsky's Pathetique!

For many, it should be one of these:

"Drag Me to Hell" from Drag Me to Hell
"Stairway to Hell" from Sudden Impact (and the Relic)
"Highway to Hell" from The Hills Run Red
"Road to Hell" from Matrix Revolutions
"Train Ride to Hell" from Gears of War
"Welcome to Hell" from Soldier (and Ratatouille)
"I Am In Hell" from The Shadow
"Tonight We Dine in Hell' from 300
"Hell Ain’t A Bad Place to Be" from Iron Man 2

or to be optimistic,
"To Hell and Back" from Qi Jian

The theme from Delta Force by Silvestri.

Go out with a bit of style.

When my time comes, I want to hear this:

...followed immediately by my death. I'm sure my wife and son would be sad that I was gone, but at least it'd be mildly funny.

There's so many to pick from. Jake's Fate from Lonesome Dove, Learoyd Saves The Child from Farewell To the King, opening cue from The Patriot or something from Horner's The New World.

But no. I'll stick with my first choice: Lee Holdridge's "Countryside" from his Scenes Of Summer.
