I was a huge TMNT (or teenage mutant hero turtles as it was known here) back in the day, mostly of the cartoon show. Played all the NES games I liked all the main returning villains; Schredder, Krang, Bebop & Rocksteady, Baxter Stockman, ... I went to see the live action movies but found them too cheesy and not a good transition to the big screen.
I did like the last animated movie they did which at least felt like it was part of the universe and actually very well produced. Interested to see what they will come up with and especially Brian Tyler, seems like a franchise he can have fun with.

The first movie is really good, although it's tone is much closer to the original comics. The second movie is goofy but fun, and feels more like the cartoon. The third movie has a neat idea, but the filmmakers mostly just bungled the execution. They could have done so much more with it, and it's a shame how they brought back Casey Jones only to just waste him. The animated movie from a few years ago is actually a continuation of the live action films, although I never saw it because I thought the character designs were ugly, plus I just didn't think it looked very good.

It's worth checking out and the score by Klaus Badelt is decent too, I'd give it a chance if you like the Turtles
P.S. I wasn't sold on it either when it first came out, I only watched it a year ago I think.
From that cast I only know the name Megan Fox, I'm guessing she'll play April
I was under the impression that Bay would never cast her in anything again due to he replacing her for Transformers 3 cos of her behavior during the making of Transformers 2.
Guess it was nothing a quick hand job wouldnt fix.
I was born in 81 so I grew up watching the original cartoon series. While I love it, I don't think I'll bother watching this remake. The fact that Megan Fox was casted as April O'Neil is a bit of an insult... there are A LOT better choices out there for that character.
However, I'll check the score out since I really like Brian Tyler's music.

I think Emma Stone would have been a better choice as April O'Neil.
According to movie producer Galen Walker via his Facebook page, the first trailer from TMNT will debut in front of Marvel's upcoming movie - Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier.
