For those who are not mature enough to know Milli Vanilli, here goes a resumé:

Milli Vanilli was a RnB pop and dance project created by Frank Farian in Munich, Germany, in 1988. The group was formed with Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus. The group's debut album Girl You Know It's True achieved international success and earned them a Grammy Award for Best New Artist on February 21, 1990. Milli Vanilli became one of the most popular pop acts in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Their success turned to infamy when their Grammy was revoked after LA Times author Chuck Philips revealed that lead vocals on the record were not the voices of Morvan and Pilatus.

So, what do you people think?

[James Horner] achieved international success and earned [a ton of awards]. James Horner became one of the most popular [film composers] in the late [1980s to the early 2000s]. His success [did not] turned to infamy and [his many awards] were [NOT revoked] after [everyone knew he just lifted some stuff from other composers and called it a day.]

Or you can replace Horner with Zimmer.

Okay Yor, enough is enough. I do not care for Zimmer's music (since 2000) either, but we know you hate it and you keep making new threads to bash his music. You are getting as bad as Sheetmusicman when is comes to new threads. If you want to keep talking about Zimmer, please do it in one of your old threads! It is almost like you hate him so much you love him because you can not stop talking about him! He is your favorite composer right? Admit it!

No.

So, you are saying that even Miili Vanilli had more talent than Zimmer.

Interesting point of view!

But facehugger, my friend (YOR is scared to write that!) stealing from other isn't a little diferent than having others doing your job, even at stealing from others?

Let's not argue which of two turds is less stinkier.

YOR cannot call Horner a turd.

YOR likes a lot of Horner's early scores and some of them are even on YOR's top 10 list!

Yes, nowadays Horner is ruining YOR's movies experiences with all that "danger motif" debacle and the self quoting.

But Horner real composer. Just lazy one.

But Zimmer... Dear Zod!

Me thinks Horner and Zimmer are both turdy for different reasons.

Horner is competent, but his practice of plagrizing without giving credits is pretty turdy and unethical.

Nonetheless, when listening to his music, I can pretend I'm listening to some fan-made variation of Prokofiev and still have a good time. It IS sophisticated afterall, no matter who ACTUALLY wrote it.

Hey we finally agree on something. [disclaimer- I enjoy a few Horner scores from the '80s and '90s but I'm more dismayed by his liberal and unprecedented volume of quotation from other composers' works. I wish the guy could just come up with his own themes]

and now back to our regular scheduled program...

YOR does not understand why some people get angry with topics like this.

Afterall, it is well known that most of Zimmer's score were not composed by him, but buy a bunch of other people.

Most of his album's credits goes like this:

Music by Hanzimmer
Composed by [some 12 people with ludicrous names like Atli Ovarson or something]
Co-composed by [some 8 people with ludicrous names like Rajin Djwadalindin or something
Aditional music by [some 7 people with ludicrous names like Lord Balfo or something]
Orchestrations by [some 17 people with ludicrous names like Nik-Gleene-Smigth or something]

So, why so angry?

Can we really make that judgment before we've seen Zimmer dance?

These guys could dance!

So they are better than Zimmer on something, it appears to YOR...

Mods, please lock this thread as you did with the last one for rampant trolling. This is far from being funny anymore.
