Finally! A mystery track I can identify. It's The Beast by Don Davis. It was a 1996 two-part TV mini-series based on the Peter Benchley novel. Was released by Varese. I bought it way back then and really enjoy it.

This is the last track, "Squid Death / Finale."

I'm not at all familiar with his score to that. However, when I first listened to The Beast back in 1996, I remember thinking bits of that track sounded like "The Ambush" from Clear and Present Danger. Then I saw Davis was created as orchestrator on that score and was like, "Oh, that must be why." smile
