This is a new Norwegian puppet film, set to premiere around Christmas. The title roughly translates as "Christmas in Pinchcliffe". It's sort of a sequel or reboot of the most popular Norwegian film of all time, FLÅKLYPA GRAND PRIX (PINCHCLIFFE GRAND PRIX) from 1975.
The score is composed by Knut Avenstroup Haugen, probably most famous for his lush, orchestral score to the AGE OF CONAN computer games.
I'm going to add two Youtube clips below to give you non-Norwegians some context: The first is a clip from the original film, featuring the gorgeous, harmonica-based theme "Reodor's Ballad", perhaps the most famous Norwegian film theme of all time (composed by Bent Fabricius-Bjerre, the composer of the famous song "Alley Cat"). The second is a brand-new trailer for the new film.
Haugen is a friend of mine, and I'm very excited about this score. I'll probably add more when the film premiere draws nearer. Meanwhile, I just wanted to put it out there.
Well, in this case -- and without even having seen the new film -- I think I agree with you. Very few things can beat the original FLÅKLYPA, and it shines even if the above clip has a DANISH dub (grumble, grumble)! Wish more Americans got the opportunity to watch it.

I've been listening to a promo of this score recently. It's quite stunning -- fullbodied, orchestral score (with certain elements of jazz here and there -- a reference to the first movie). Strong themes, slightly Barryesque at times.

SECRET OF DRAGON SPINE? No, I don't know anything about a physical release, but I have three tracks from the score. It's pretty good.
