"Juicy Stories About the Classic Films He’s Scored" He hasn't scored ANY films that, as of now, deserve qualification as "classics". Today's audiences have the attention span of fruit flies - it appears, today's film """journalists""" have, too.

Why would Zimmer be better off not talking so much? You can't say that it's a valid point without actually giving reasons why. Oh, I think you are smart enough to figure it out. After all you were genetically engineered with a superior intellect. Are you another Andre Lux alt? Why is it so hard to answer a simple question? Unless, of course, you actually can't defend yourself. No, I simply do not care to 'defend myself' as you say. There is really nothing to defend. Smart artists do not talk about what they do very much. So this speaks for Hans as a cobble together journeyman more than an artist. It should be a subjective craft without the interference of explanations and background about the who what when where why, the personal lives of these people. There I went I spelled out what should be obvious. Smart artists never talk about what they do? So, I guess when Rembrandt said "hey, this painting I totally did with oil on canvas, and OH HEY, I set up a school for people to study my lighting techniques" he was just being stupid and should have never taught pupils. Mahler spoke a bit about how he viewed his symphonic works as these giant mountain-filled landscapes. Should he not have said that? Many photographers speak and write about how they achieve their results in regards to software, camera gear, development, lenses among others. Many other artists speak about how they achieve their results, give background, what motivated them, their best practices, etc etc. So, when I hear that Zimmer should stop talking...I say, screw that. Let him talk all he wants about his work. It's not for you to decide who he talks to, how he talks about his work, etc. If you don't like it...fine, move on to something else and let others read and listen if they are so inclined. And it seems quite a few are interested. Is he an "artist" ? Sure why not. He writes better music than I ever could. And has to do it within the confines of a movie.
