I figure if there is going to be a club release before the end of the year,it would come in November. I mean, why sit on it. I think Varèse's current business model of hob-knobbing with living composers in the concert hall a wonderful situation. For those who were not able to attend any of those concerts, they'd be wonderful releases. May still happen. As noted above, the sale of Varese likely has changed some things. But it has seemed to me Varese may well be content to focus on new releases and the occasional batch of club titles . It isn't so much the torch had been passed, but for special editions and re-releases, other labels have pretty much eclipsed Varese in the last few years. Sure, the market isn't even close to what it used to be in that what once sold a million copies now only sells a couple thousand, but I think it would be somewhat remiss not to bring in what money there is left to make on newer issues of these older scores they own album rights to. P.S. A few months ago MV suggested with words to the affect that maybe we should write Varese and all tell them they want other labels to be able to license out those in perpetuity titles. Do we know for a fact that the tapes still exist?
