I am kinda weary of bids. I really wish people would just ask for the price that they want and sell the disc. The whole intention behind the bid system is to drive prices up higher than a lot of items are really worth.

I am kinda weary of bids. I really wish people would just ask for the price that they want and sell the disc. The whole intention behind the bid system is to drive prices up higher than a lot of items are really worth.

When I searched ebay I found prices for Two Towers set in range 200-450USD.
So please what would you do dear friend? smile
Set the price for 60USD for which I bought it or set price for 450USD or start with low bid 0.99?
I am satisfied with my option, found it as the best of three.

Basic rule of buying is that no one is forced to buy/bid.
I know it when I paid almost £140 for Outlaw Joesy Wales in open auction style 8-9 years ago...was the disc worth of this price?
For me was, I want the CD so much and i don´t think that seller has some plans to drive prices higher.
I think the original release price was 20USD and item was unavailable at that time - market set the price. In the end I sold the disc for 40-50USD few years ago - market set the price again and I am not complaining about itsmile

I would do it the same way. The market dictates the prize, that´s how economy goes.

Yeah, if you want it...bid on it. It's not like he's speculating on a OOP limited release where he bought 30 copies to sell at a high price. Starting it at $0.99 is more than fair.

I think this is an excellent way of selling. It lets the buyer set the price. I feel like the crazy $400-600 prices that we've been seeing lately drive the perceived value of the set up, even if nobody is actually buying at that price - and that's good for nobody. More power to you for selling it this way, and I hope the final sale works out well for both you and the person who wins it. It's a great set!

That price was skyrocketing a few weeks ago! That practically begs for patience re: TTT - it'll come back in style, and if you don't need it today you'll save yourself hundreds!
