The whole "Jersey Boys" film thing had completely passed me by until a few days ago....had no idea a movie was being produced....been fan of Valli and the Four Seasons since I caught a filmed concert of theirs on TV in the 90's (?)...casting for the movie seems spot on, and Eastwood has a good eye for the grit among the happy stuff....so, looking forward to seeing it, and certainly looking forward to the album...

Godzilla has a serious six pack going on. Looks like some monster has been doing his stomack crunches.

Mr. Greg, I have seen two Broadway productions of Jersey Boys, and to say I've loved both productions is an understatement. The scores just rock. I can't wait for the movie!

I loved JERSEY BOYS on stage, and I love The Four Seasons, but in the trailer, the singing doesn't appear to be the equal of either. Perhaps it's just mixed poorly for the trailer? There's no blend, just the guy's voice, playing Vali, too pumped up. They don't sound like The Four Seasons. That would be a deal breaker, for me.

Oh, and Godzilla fights a monster that kind of looks like the one from Aliens? Yawn.

I didn't know the trailer was out until I read PSon's post. Yeah, the live stage play was so loud and rocking, and I'm hoping for the same effect in the movie, but my computer speakers are not that great. Still, hoping for a great movie.

Your comment might have some value if you HAD SEEN THE FINISHED FILM before posting it.

Yep, it looks like the Cloverfield monster with a Tron Legacy transport glued to it's shoulders.

Well that would depend on what the reason is I have no interest in the film. If one does not like apple juice, then the best apple juice in the world means little to me. I would not even bother to have my girlfriend see a solid zombie film. because such a subject means nothing to her.I have consideration for all my acquaintances, always did, if it is a subject or item I think they would not like I would never force them to see or waste there time on something. So here is my personal feelings . I loved EUGENE LOURIE'S TRILOGY of big monster films because they had a style never duplicated before. The first GODZILLA FILM , stood apart from everyone made since, they all became silly, silly, silly. Even the 98 one made in America, was the lighthearted type of modern fantasy film which was not my bag, per say. Well made at least which is more then I can say for the ones from Japan.I thought maybe this time they were going to finally make a serious version of the big monster film[like a remake of BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS.]but now that he faces another monster here we go from the 60's, Japan vibe. Sure maybe it might actually be well made, but if that is not my style, then I am not interested.I didn't use the word bad.TO EACH ONE'S OWN , THANKS.

So you've seen the trailers, and have decided that it's not a serious version? Or are you just purely making your mind up about the entire enterprise from the look of a plastic toy? And no, you didn't call it bad, but you called it "dumb stupidity", which is pretty close...and quite a slur for a film that you haven't seen one single minute of. I call "Lake Placid 2" dumb stupidity, but at least I actually took the time and effort to find out...

Well again it is a matter of common sense perception. First off there is a big difference between bad and stupidity. You can have a well done film with fantastic effects, good acting, top notch tech credits etc etc and it still can be a stupid movie. Take Smokey and the bandit, it might have been enjoyable but it was stupid. There are a lot of films that are stupid but can be made well.Second, let's be honest a movie like Godzilla VS machoGodzilla, we all know what it is going to be with coming attractions it's not going to be CITIZEN KANE. I remember years ago A,I,P did a stupid double feature, well there were a lot of stupid double features years ago, A pretty serious film called FROGS with RAY MILLAND was put on a double feature with GODZILLA VS THE SMOG MONSTER. First hand I can tell you it's stupid, adults young and old during the evening performance when they came in when Frogs was on , saw it. When Godzilla started many got up and left, and just stay for the one feature. When they went in as Godzilla was starting it was even funnier, adults going to the concession stand for minutes on end, having conversations , looking at the ceiling or totally mocking the film left and right. Except for a few adults who were, well we know what they were, but anyway it was so obvious a bad move by A,I P.. so what can I say. that's life.In the world of sense of wonder films Godzilla and those Japanese films are in a little world of themselves separate from the others. Your state of mind going in to see those films are different.

Well the toys look like utter crap... but I cannot wait to see this film. Even as a grown man I still adore monsters.
