After watching Wonder Woman it couldn't be more clear how Diana as a character is everything Rey from Star Wars should've been. Diana/Wonder Woman has a personality, she's expressive, full range of feelings and emotions, actually endures a learning curve, not perfect/makes mistakes, faces real setbacks and lose, personal drive and motivated, and has a self appointed purpose in life. Rey, is "the chosen one", ready made, no cooking required, bland, boring, indifferent, with no real drive or mission in life, pulled in all directions. Just going through the motions. Wonder Woman got it right, Star Wars did not.

I did find Rey a bit of a cipher, just there to look determined and swing the saber. WW felt more three-dimensional, but still lacking a bit.
