So I think the next step as to where we go is, do we sustain the ALIEN (series) with the evolution of the beast or do we reinvent something else? I think you need to have an evolution on this famous beast because he’s the best monster ever, really.” Scott also commented on why BLADE RUNNER 2049 was not a big success, “It’s slow. It’s slow. Long. Too long. I would have taken out half an hour." He said he has never been approached to direct a STAR WARS movie because he is, "too dangerous". Also, Neill Blomkamp confirmed his ALIEN 5 sequel, which was canceled to make way for COVENANT, is dead, "Yes. I have moved on. What I meant was that I wish there was a way for fans to see some of what we had designed. It was an amazing chance to work in the world Ridley and James Cameron created. And collaborate with Sigourney." Blomkamp also released more concept art for ALIEN 5. SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY---Christian Bale confirmed he was a candidate for the role of Han Solo's mentor that went to Woody Harrelson, “Yes, [it was] very tempting. I not only love the films going back to my childhood but also have a very long relationship with Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall because they did EMPIRE OF THE SUN many years back. There was discussion, [and] I hope there will be future discussions.” BRIGHT---the Netflix sequel is underway with Will Smith and Joel Edgerton returning. THE WIDOW---Kate Beckinsale stars in this Amazon/ITV tv series as a widow who searches for the truth in the Congo after seeing her "late" husband on the tv news. THE CIRCUS---Showtime renewed the series for Season 3. TRIVIA---before receiving an Emmy nomination for AMC's BROKEN TRAIL, Greta Scacchi's first major introduction to US audiences was playing the sleazy district attorney in PRESUMED INNOCENT starring Harrison Ford.

I agree. EVERY TIME he opens his mouth, I think he's lost the plot.
