MONDAY, JULY 15 JAMES BOND---a British tabloid said the title for the 24th Bond movie is DEVIL MAY CARE from the 2008 Sebastian Faulks 007 novel which the movie will be based on. The novel has Bond battling villain Dr. Julius Gorner who plans to flood England with cheap drugs and also launch a terrorist attack on the Soviet Union. The report has not been confirmed. THE WALKING DEAD---creator Robert Kirkman commented on Season 4, "There's going to be a bit of a time jump....it's only a few months, we're not nailing down the exact number of days or anything like that. The prison that we see is a very different prison and the characters that we see are very different from the last time we saw them. We go into Season 4 with characters you've known for four years and still find new things to explore with them and new aspects of their character..." He added, "We're telling completely different stories. While the Governor is still out there and still a threat, we're going to see him in a new light and he won't appear until we least expect it. I don't think people are really going to be able to anticipate what we do with the Governor; it's going to be radically different..." Kirkman said about Rick, Michonne and a new character, Bob Stookey, "Rick is doing something very different, but his goals are still the same: keep these kids safe and growing up...As we meet Michonne coming back this season, she's on a mission to hunt down the Governor. It's something she's very obsessed with. It's big part of her character this season. She did lose Andrea and she lost her because of the Governor. She's not willing to let that guy go or be out there. It's something that may possibly be to her detriment, the fact that she's so dedicated to finding this person....Bob will be someone who is familiar to the comic and novel audience but we're definitely not married to doing those stories and could do different things there." He added, "We are definitely going in some new directions and this will continue to be a different take on the material form the comics but there will possibly be some scenes that are a little bit closer to the comic than we've done in the past. Season Four probably has the most number of scenes that are adapted directly from the comic series or very close to what we did." Kirkman said Season 4 will have a new threat, "We are bringing in another threat, which is nature itself. I don't really want to get into specifics too much, but I will say that there is a third uncontrollable, almost undefeatable threat that is going to come in when the characters of the show are at their most vulnerable. It's really going to be something that they have a hard time dealing with." Asked if Rick will lose his hand as in the comic book, he replied, "Who knows?" Showrunner Scott Gimple added, "I may have convinced him. Possibly. We may not know that." DOCTOR WHO---spoiler alert (see below). PREDATORS---on the Facebook page for the 2010 Robert Rodriguez movie, a new image says, "There's something out there waiting for us, and it ain't no man... We're all gonna die." This led to speculation that a sequel may be underway. DOCTOR STRANGE---according to "sources", Marvel Studios wants Joseph Gordon-Levitt for the starring role, "Marvel execs internally are discussing that Levitt is who they figure would be ideal". No talks have started yet. COOTIES---comedy horror movie underway set in an isolated elementary school in which infected chicken nuggets turn the students into rampaging monsters attacking a group of teachers. Elijah Wood, Alison Pill and Rainn Wilson star. THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS---Disney sequel to Johnny Depp's ALICE IN WONDERLAND with Depp close to signing. James Bobin (THE MUPPETS) is the director. X-FORCE---Jeff Wadlow is attached to be the writer/director of the 20th Century Fox superhero movie. ANT-MAN---co-writer/director Edgar Wright said the script has been completed. VERONICA MARS---Leighton Meester is not returning for the movie due to a schedule conflict and has been replaced by Andrea Estella. THE VIEW---Jenny McCarthy will be a new co-host for next season. DOCTOR WHO---showrunner Steven Moffat said about the regeneration for the 12th Doctor Who, "It’ll be the traditional regeneration. You know, the eleventh will fall and the twelfth shall rise. And you'll see that in the closing moments of the show [the Christmas special]...Unless we have an insane plan, we'll announce a new Doctor within days of finalizing the new Doctor. I think we'll go public pretty fast....I’m not going to comment at all on the direction we’re going. Sorry… There's a very big range of people who could play it and different ways you could go with it. We must get this right. One false move and the show's over." Also, costume designer Howard Burden commented on John Hurt's character in the 50th Anniversary Special, "There was a gap between Paul McGann playing the Doctor and Christopher Eccleston, when we didn’t see a regeneration, and John Hurt will fit into that gap. He is a past Doctor, not a future Doctor."
