The roommates' place at which I would most liked to have spent time!

Besides being obviously talented individuals, they had an enviable friendship in which they seemed to appreciate one another. I saw an interview with the two in which they showed Fonda painting a portrait of Stewart's beloved horse, Pie, after the horse had died.

Professionally, it would be nice to have more from the two of them together, but Firecreek is a good, underrated western.

Definitely, a Class Act!

In 1975, I was lucky enough to see them both on stage in London, within a few weeks of each other.

James Stewart brought his revival of "Harvey" to the Prince of Wales Theatre,
and Henry Fonda brought "Clarence Darrow" to the Piccadilly Theatre .

Both were wonderful and mesmerising.

I was also lucky enough to meet Fonda ( albeit briefly ) afterwards, and he signed me a nice still from "Drums Along the Mohawk".

1975 was a good year for Hollywood Legends because, in October, we saw Bette Davis in her "Evening With..." tour.

Magic !
