Well, I respectfully disagree - but I absolutely cannot understand why you consider this track the most ugly noise you heard on any score in 2017. That's what makes your comment attract so much disbelief, I'm afraid. I wasn't the one who made the 2017 comment, I'm afraid! I apologize, Sir!

Well some of the posts in this thread just have me baffled. Hovercraft Chase is one of the best cues in the film. David Arnold has always done cracking action music and Die Another Day is no exception. There was nigh on an hour of music missing from the original album so for LLL to start their Bond range with it was a superb coup and an instant win. We have a complete Bond score for the first time! What a bloody MIRACLE! If the naysayers don't like 'Brosnan' Arnold I suggest you try 'Craig' Arnold which are much less electronic scores. His Night At The Opera cue from Quantum of Solace is right up there with the best of the Barry oeuvre and one of the loveliest pieces of music in the franchise. The Night at the Opera cue was the only memorable track from that score, IMHO, although that too was negated by some of the odd shot choices in the sequence. I don't determine a score's quality based upon how memorable it is. I can think of scores with far more memorable themes than Blade Runner, for instance, but that doesn't stop me from labeling Blade Runner the greatest score I've ever heard. There is great beauty, great subtlety, great emotion in Arnold's score for Quantum of Solace, even if I can't hum the cues as easily as I could, say, the Smurfs' theme.

QoS is one of my least favorite Bond films and one of my absolute favorite Bond scores. I have almost no recollection of the film anymore, but there isn't a note out of place on the CD.

I'd love to know how well this is selling. MV said a week or so back that they make 85% of their sales in the first week - I hope this title is still selling strongly. It’s slightly worrying that a fair few people have commented that they were happy with the unofficial CD that they already had, and that this CD wasn’t going to give them anything new. I’m surprised that they wouldn’t be keen on getting an improved sound quality. It’s also a bit disheartening that Bond score fans wouldn’t just buy this one anyway to help open up the possibility of getting access to all the other Bond soundtracks. I hope that DAD has opened up the vaults for LLL. And to state it again: the "unofficial" CD was a bootleg and of minor quality. The LA LA LAND release features perfect quality and is approved by the composer. Accept no substitute.

I'm fine with the electronics. My issue with this score – and it's sort of a general problem I have with David Arnold – is that every scene is scored like it's the climax. Spot on........Barry's scores would take us on a journey......tension, romance, atmoshere, mood before hitting the major climax action cues. Much of Arnold's Bond work, especially DAD emphasise heavy action, cue after cue of it from early in the film. My favourite cue in DAD is Peaceful Fountains of Desire......just over a minute in length!!.

I'd love to hear an orchestra-only version of "Backseat Driver" from Tomorrow Never Dies, should that ever come out from LLL. Just wanted to throw that in here.

I've been holding off on this until WonderCon. Trouble is, it appears to be "Temporarily Out Of Sock". Has there been any indication as to when it's coming back?
