Pleasant now, but bracing for 90-degree (32 C) weather this weekend.

You know...I'm a day late with this because it's not RIGHT NOW

However the weather is still crap. Gale force winds, rain and flooding etc.

But yesterday, the weather was so fierce that it knocked the power down for our whole State. For hours. The whole State was blacked out. A population of 1.7million over a size of 379, 725 square miles (Just for you US readers). Not just a temporary break in power...but a minimum of 4 hours before some parts of the State were restored. 26 hours+ for some other parts.

It was unprecedented. It was a joke that the whole State lost power.

I'm still angry about it.

Nothing quite so dramatic here. Been very windy today (mild storm on occasion), but relatively normal for the season. What's not so normal is the mild weather we've been having in September, with temperatures hovering between 15-20 C. That's rather unusual for Norway this time of year.

It's raining, Thor. Raining and I walked to go Xmas shopping, to the bus stop, and JUST missed the westbound bus, the one I needed.

It continued raining while I waited 40 minutes for the next westbound bus. It came about 3 minutes early and said NOT IN SERVICE.

No way I'm waiting ANOTHER 40 minutes, so I went across the street and waited for the eastbound bus to go back, while it continued to rain. Luckily, it was only a few minutes in coming. When it arrived, the westbound bus arrived, too.

Groan.

And it's still raining.

You're still in San Francisco, right? I remember the morning bus I was supposed to take when I was heading back to the airport after I visited you in 2012. Well, it never showed up, so I had to take an expensive cab. I was surprised, because I thought Los Angeles was the place to go for crappy public transportation, not SF.

Minus 30. Or it was yesterday. Not looking forward to my trip to the post office as it looks just as cold today.

Minus 30? Yikes! Here I am complaining about it being only 24 degrees with a few inches of snow and freezing rain. Oh well, I'm still going to complain. smile

It's a good reason to eat soup at least! smile it's been colder than minus 20 for a week. The days the wind whips up are a bit rough. I walk to work 20 minutes. It's quite chilly despite muh big jacket!

It's 5pm and the mercury has just peaked at 36.9 degrees celsius (98 degrees F).

Barely a breath of wind.
