1997. The year of tomorrow never dies and the year my youngest was born. Making them both 18 this year. The year that Newcastle finished second to the scum, Leeds were unlucky 13th, Pool 3rd, Hammers 10th and city were relegated.
Different times alright. That was Roy Evans' Spice Boys team, 3rd wasn't considered good enough so the following year Houllier was brought in (1998!). That team and Rafa's 2009 team were the best we've had in the last 25 years, really should have won the damn thing.
Also, 1997 was the year I got married. Less said about that the better
1999...the year all the computers stopped working and planes fell out of the sky at New Years!!!! Almost there...I feel a bit of Pulp comin on... Let's all meet up in the year 2000...
