I've gotta tell ya....I agree with the above posters....I can't stop playing this score and it doesn't get tired. There are specific tracks that stick in my head all day long...day in and day out. I SHOULD be sick of the damn thing by now, but I'm not. The music still sends gooseflesh up and down my arms. It's simple beautiful. LOVE THIS SCORE!!!

Tadlow's Goldsmith series continues with a beautiful recording of The Salamander! So we have this one and THE CHAIRMAN to look forward to!
-Rick O.

Are you saying this and "The Chairman" are being paired on one release, or two separate releases?

Hi Basil,

I don't know. It simply that I was aware they were doing THE CHAIRMAN at some point. Maybe Nic Raine could chime in about it...

-Rick O.

No plans for THE CHAIRMAN as yet...

Would love a Tadlow "Chairman", why is FOX being a bitch about this and holding off the materials??

Maybe they can't easily locate the materials? No need to resort to name calling especially when you don't know the facts...

You mean I should act more mature by calling Fox a "bitch" and such in multiple threads?

RM, I share your frustration with this situation but you're the one throwing a rather childish tantrum and none of us really knows any details. God forbid some Fox soundtrack executive should look at this board and see your comments. Your attitude is not helping the situation in any way.

Why not think positive? Maybe it'll happen in the future. Maybe Fox couldn't easily find the score sheets but who knows, they might show up some day. Maybe James will change his mind and do what he did on The Salamander and QB VII, having it painstakingly reconstructed by ear. Who knows?

But even if we should tragically never get a complete The Chairman, we've gotten a ton of definitive Goldsmith releases in recent years and we almost certainly have many left that we'll still get. So don't let the lack of one score get you into such a negative place.

Grow Up!!

Because grown ups don't know how to control their temper, demonstrate respect or speak with dignity. Who are you, Ford Thaxton?

Been playing THE SALAMANDER a lot lately, and would like to add to the testimonies of several others in this thread who have shown their admiration for this new (well, a few months old anyway!) recording of a marvelous Goldsmith piece. It is very well done.
