So excited to get this! Biggest soundrack purchase I've made this year.
Hey HarryRA and 80cionado, I'm pretty mystified this isn't getting blabbed about all over the place.
So many people, including myself, were disappointed when the last of the Blue Boxes were gone. I was overjoyed at this news and placed my order immediately. I was thinking of starting a new thread about this topic – then feared the backlash, everyone curtly reminding me a thread already exists. (i.e. this one). So, hopefully word will get out. Can't wait for mine. Been wanting it since day one.
Yeah, the 'old thread' policy, so annoying....dudes need more cd's to fill their time apparently....
I just reposted on the CD info thread to get this back in the spotlight.
Great set, proud to have one, if you have the dough it's worth it! The remaster of Supe 1
is a revelation - I could not dump the Rhino set fast enough, sorry mxmx, but I know you
guys did what you could with the elements you had at the time!

Couldn't agree more, Goblin. Only point of difference for me is I still love the Rhino set just because it meant so much to me at the time. And for my all-time favorite scores I love having the array of releases. With Superman, for instance, I look at my beloved 2-lp set, bought so excitedly the day I saw the movie back in it's original run. And then the first CD brings me back to the early days of that format, when I consoled myself that the missing tracks were balanced out by the fact that I could hear the score for the first time without clicks and pops. Then the Rhino CD came out and finally finally finally we could hear the material we'd waited for for decades...especially the enchanting prologue. I could never get rid of any of them, sentimental fool that I am!
