I'll certainly get THE EGYPTIAN again for new artwork and, hopefully, more substantial liner notes. Come to think of it..TWILIGHT TIME Blu ray dvd label needs to get this back in print too.. (just sayin') Damn right! I'm lucky enough to have the TT Blu-ray, & it really does look stunning. A film I've loved since I saw it on the telly in the late fifties. The score is amazing, & I think Alfred Newman's cues are every bit as good as Herrmann's. Great cover from La-La.

I'll wait for the Kritzerland or Intrada reissue of The Egyptian. I need more time to miss the other thirty editions. At this point, you should just charge people who only want the new booklet.

Never managed to get Magic, and it'll be nice to hear Burgon outside of English costume dramas, so two out of three is excellent (I already have the FSM The Egyptian, but go for it all who want the new one)! If you have the FSM Egyptian (which I had), it's still really worth buying the two-disc edition (I have the Varese release), there's a lot more music & it sounds so much better. I don't think it's new re-mastering technology, I seem to remember that it was a new discovery of complete tapes in good condition, or something like that. The Varese was also 1500 copies & it sold-out quite fast.

MAGIC is the jewel in this batch for me. I inexplicably failed to get the Varese release and have been tempting myself with secondary market prices ever since. Today is a gift to my willpower.

Looking forward to getting The Egyptian. Missed the Varese release so I'm not going to miss this title again. Not too sure on Magic, I've got the Varese but I can't say it's a score I've listened to a lot, in fact, I really can't recall it. Might have to give it a spin and then check out the samples on that one. Have no knowledge of Dogs of War One of David Arnold's ore-bond scores, frequently recommended, and hard to get Are you thinking of Last of the Dogmen?
