The Menagerie Part 2 has cues from The Doomsday Machine and the Varese Sarabande rerecordg of Charlie X. Some other episodes have music stings added as well, such as The Deadly Years, where the dramatic teaser fade out music for The Doomsday Machine was slapped on to puncutate Spock and Commodore Stocker's decision to hold a hearing for Kirk. It was for reasons like this they used the Laserdiscs for reference when working on the set. Too many changes were made to the sound on the DVDs and Blu-Rays.
But you'll probably have 90% of it accurate to the original broadcast going by the DVDs.

Ah! I remember hearing they did that from all the interviews they gave last year. So is it possible that the cue Brett is looking for is from the Label X re-recording of Conscience of the King? That's crazy, man!
Brett, I might suggest either Dropbox of Google Docs as a place to make your file public. This is a terrific project. I never had the time or apparently the talent (the ear) to make my own. I am greatly looking forward to yours.

Hmmm, I guess until I have access to the laser-discs or get my Blu-Rays I might put a hold on this. I want to do this project as accurately as possible.
You could continue with what you have. If you run up against a total brick wall (like Miri) then make a note and move on. When you get the better sources then it’s just a matter of checking your work, right?
Or you can wait, I suppose. 
I’m still shaking my head: They recorded a NEW cue for the DVD of Miri? Is that really what happened? Of all the episode, of all the cues, Miri?

Fifteen months later and I’m still listening to this set. I haven’t grown tired of it and always find some time to pop in a favorite score, or revisit some I don’t frequent as much. It’s also amazing how much having the complete presentations made the previously released scores more enjoyable. Where No Man Has Gone Before (in sound and content) is much fuller and one of my top picks. The Doomsday Machine also gets play quite often, which like it’s forefather The Enemy Within, doesn't have a single false note. Sol Kaplan was underused.
Of the newly released, I gravitate to The Man Trap a lot more often than I thought I would. It’s not droning electronic crap that Roddenberry hated at the time; it’s just very depressing and stark, but still brilliant. It does a wonderful job in filling in the character blanks of the creature. Also Friday’s Child and Spock’s Brain keep drawing me in.
There are a few episode scores I’m not as enamored with, but overall, this is still my go-to for mood music and easily some of the best television scoring of the era. It certainly is my own personal favorite. I’ll always be grateful for everyone’s herculean efforts to get this together and out. Such great quality and a real labor of love. If I have any complaint at all it is the decision to cross fade some cues to recreate an original edit (which happens in the two pilot scores). I would have preferred to hear the cues end rather than get stepped on by the next cue, but that’s a very minor point. My love for this set is unparalleled in my library. It is easily the jewel in the collection and my actual Holy Grail.

It's still a keeper. I went through Trek overload earlier this year, so I haven't been listening as much. I was mowing through all six TOS films and this set on a daily basis for over a month. A teeny bit of burnout.
Oddly I've been listening to TAS quite a bit.
Since then it's funny what I come back to. I've been playing What Are Little Girls Made Of and The Enemy Within more than I used to.
