Everyone seems to forget that the 1998 CD put "Trucking"(3m1) following an alternate unused version of (13m1), which is a far greater deviation from chronology and narrative intent than the two extremely minor moves on the new release. Yes there are just two, as has been pointed out. Since discrete cues are provided as well, everyone is free to do what they'd like.

Has anyone else who ordered this through SAE (or some other vendor) gotten a shipping notice yet?
I brought this up in the "Oh My" thread. Apparently they're just starting to ship stock out to third party vendors. Understandable, considering recent events at LLL.

Mike, forgive me if this was mentioned previously in this thread (I couldn't find it), but was it John's decision not to include the entire LP presentation or was it a decision of space? Also, can one recreate the album presentation exactly, using these tracks? So looking forward to the expanded score but I also have a soft-spot for the original program.

I LOVE the new presentation. So much that I'd buy a double LP version of Disc 1 as well. MV previously mentioned a double LP of E.T. is forthcoming this Spring. Fingers crossed for Close Encounters as well!

As a HUGE fan of this soundtrack who only just now found out about this (and ordered it), I figured I've found the right place to put forth a question I've always had in my head. And that is; I always wondered where in the film the cue known as 'Trucking' was supposed to go. perhaps it was a deleted scene.
I've had fun re-inserting deleted cues in their proper place in the film to see what they would've been like with the music. Always fun! For instance...

). And in a sense, this new release brings things full-circle for us [vitual] charter Messageboard members. Still have fond memories of contributing to my first Friday Letters letter about the original CD release vis-a-vis waxing crazy about standing in line outside the Ziegfeld Theatre in the bitter cold for three hours. But like Martin Sloan says, it was worth it. Just for the last half hour alone much less the entire picture. And as it must be for this newest soundtrack release. Even I may have to buy it and it will be just to FINALLY get the original Inside music as heard in Film II.
