Having heard it tonight, I totally get what you mean by People That Time Forgot's action music feeling clunky...it was a startling contrasting stiffness to the glorious stuff that came later (King Kong Lives and such). Still, the softer/suspense cues tend to be at least interesting due to J. Scott's orchestrations being so lush and rich with detail.

Which would you say is the best of his horror scores? I've gathered that's not a favorite aspect of his work for you, but surely one of his horror contributions is worth delving into. Listening to your Walking Thunder suite at the moment!

Shogun Mayeda has a truly beautiful love theme! Love the Errol Flynn-ish adventure theme too.

Shoot to Kill is quite effective night listening! By the way, random question. I’ve gotten word that Becoming Colette includes source music for whatever reason. Could anyone tell me what tracks those are so I can delete them when my copy of the album arrives?

Also, if you're curious about WALKING THUNDER, here's a 13-minute suite from this masterful juggernaut of a Western score. One of the absolute best of its genre from any era if you ask me! https://picosong.com/wYi74/ I really enjoyed it. However, the theme I've heard before -- I just can't recall where. I have no idea if it was borrowing from Scott or if it was before WT and just a coincidental mind set when the other composer did it.

Shogun Mayeda’s theme is a bit Indiana Jones-ish, but I like it a lot better as J. Scott actually puts the theme through variations instead of just blasting it over and over and over and over, unlike J. Williams.

Walking Thunder and Becoming Colette are both wonderful!...but man, what is it with this guy's albums and including source music alongside the actual scores? Sheesh!

Bought 20000 Leagues! That's the last of my collecting spree for awhile, folks! Really need to chill out and focus on buying for others (Christmas coming and all). Hope bobbengan pops back up here soon, I'd love to chat with him about this dude!

bobbengan, if you are still here, do you happen to know what -- if anything -- John Scott did for "Dallas"? and if you don't know, could you ask? I'll be coming up on that writer's strike season soon and I need to know if I can skip it.
