I don't get the obsession some seem to have about LLLCD 1335. Don't get me wrong, it must be a huge frustration for everybody at the label. But we have no idea what it is. Why would anybody be so anxious for it?

I'm guessing its due to the fact that catalog number wise it's the only thing in our nearly 400 title library that remains a mystery.

And when folks find out what the title is they will scratch their heads and wonder why it took so long.

1371 and 1372 are still a mystery too. We at least know that 1370 is X-Files Vol 3, but why are those two taking a bit longer to be released, I wonder.

The Shawshank Redemption by Newman?
Frank Darabont directed it in 1994, and was working on The Huntsman in 2014 but he quit. The film premieres in a few days in the US.

I completely forgot he was attached to THE HUNTSMAN.

Fascinating.

I hope it is The Shawshank Redemption, a great score by Newman.

La-La Land has posted this on their Facebook page:

LLLCD 1394 is FINALLY done and off to manufacture!

This title has a fairly long history. We started it in Feb 2014 with plans to get it out for Black Friday 2014, to coincide with the film's 20th Anniversary. That didn't happen.

Ironically the film's director was attached to do a MAJOR FILM at the time and we thought it would have delayed the project, but then he dropped out of that project and yet the soundtrack STILL took two over years to get out there...and now that film is coming out! It took longer for us to release this score then it did for that other film to be made! lol

May 31 all will be redeemed!

Yes ! And I remember Debney post on Facebook:

https://www.facebook.com/john.debney.75/posts/10206830288458437

And John Debney comment:

A young man wrote this score 20 years ago. So many memories of this one. Hearing the theme for the first time with the incredible LSO. Kurt playing 8 tympani on the end credits. My first score with my brilliant friend Simon... The letter from the orchestra. The one I've been trying to find for years now. The weeks in London. Geena Davis singing in the choir. As though yesterday...

Maybe this at last?

Maybe this at last?

As much as the flame of my love for THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT will burn forever bright, I very much doubt Renny Harlin was attached to a MAJOR FILM two years ago. SHAWSHANK seems to fit all the clues.

Cutthroat Island was released in 1995 and like someone else said, Renny Harlin hasn't been attached to a mayor film in a long, long time.

It's almost certainly Shawshank, all the clues fit.

10 Cloverfield Lane (Music from the Motion Picture)
Music by Bear McCreary
SNS4020
RETAIL PRICE: $15.98
Shadows and Sparks presents composer Bear McCreary’s score for 10 Cloverfield Lane -- a masterful assemblage of elements including a 90-piece orchestra, a 45-piece string ensemble, a grouping of 30 celli and 8 bass, and a string quartet. These traditional instruments are combined with two unusual feature instruments, the Yayli tanbur and the Blaster Beam, an experimental instrument built and played by Craig Huxley.
“Bear has written an incredible score for [director] Dan Trachtenberg's 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE,” said producer J.J. Abrams. “It is tense, emotional music that gives the film scope and heart, augments the surprise and horror. It’s an homage to Herrmann, but wholly original at the same time. I'm deeply grateful to Bear for his contribution to this movie.”
A limited amount of 360 units will be signed by composer Bear McCreary and sold exclusively through the La-La Land Records website – www.lalalandrecords.com

I recieved my copy of "Superman: The Animated Series" today, from the recent sale.

It came safely in enough bubble wrap to either start my own U-Haul store or begin a part-time career as Dexter Morgan. ;-)

I'm still surprised it hasn't sold more. I'm going to try and do my part to help by putting together a review when I can.

"...but we also had the privilege to record with several of the same amazing LA musicians that played on the original scores, recorded by Bobby Fernandez, our original engineer, even using the Neve recording console originally installed at Paramount Stage ‘M’—the stage where most of BTAS was scored!”
