I've noticed how many of my favorite posts are from the Non-Film Score Discussion side of the forum. There's just too much "Ordered!"/"When will this score be released?"/dented booklet-cracked jewel case-no jewel case nonsense.

now there is a favourite post of mine, straight away. Succinct, honest, and highlighting to General discussion posters what is wrong with it.

Yes, I should point out that I was referring to the General Discussion side of the board as having all the nonsense.

I agree, Jim. I grow weary of those topics. I'd like to add another topic that seems so senseless to me. A poster will announce that a movie coming out next year is going to be scored by Composer XYZ. It will be months before we can see this movie or hear this score. Yet, that topic will draw thousands of views and hundreds to thousands of responses supporting the composer or denigrating that composer. We haven't heard a single note, but the topic draws people in. Meanwhile, some current, interesting topics are read by only a few and garner only a few responses. That makes me mad.

Okay, rant over. I feel better.
I personally enjoy "The Thunderdome" threads, but I agree a lot of interesting threads and topics are passed by or ignored.
This made me laugh (from the Tina Guo/Horner Tribute CD thread over yonder)..
By: Smaug (Member) I took cello lessons as a kid. Never did my teacher tell me I needed to whip my head around orgasmically when I played. I could have been a contender!
