Escape From the Dark: SOLD OUT

I hadn't even realized this was sold out until I went to check SAE, Intrada, et al, hoping to bundle it with a soon-to-be-placed order for F/X 2, Beastmaster, etc.

Guess I'll wait for the inevitable reissue.

It's still available at a reasonable price from Chris' soundtrack corner (www.soundtrackcorner.de)

As a side note, I just watched F/X 2 last night, and there's a cue during the supermarket "chase" that Schifrin also used in a later piece (maybe written before, who knows). It's called "Pulsations" from the Esperanto album if you wanted to check it out. Pretty great track!

I'm surprised to see so little discussion about Escape from the Dark. I finally managed to snag a copy (still available at a reasonable price at Amazon.co.uk) and am thoroughly enjoying it. It's jaunty and melodic without being overly cloying for a children's movie. Recommended.

Chris.
