What I would love to see/hear on a second volume:
McCarthy:
more of McCarthy's "early" action music which i think is rather underpresented on this (first) disc (from vol.1).
I wouldn't mind seeing some more quotes of "Picard's Theme" of course, some examples which comes to mind are in "The Last Outpost": There's a scene in the engine room where Riker and Geordi trying to figure out what to do next and at one point Riker gets an idea, and the music starts playing: it's a powerful, march-like version of "Picard's Theme" but unfortunately heavily buried under dialogue. A more obvious quote I remember right now would appear in "Unnatural Selection": there's a scene where Data and Riker checking out Pulaski's looking for her "hair", and during that scene there's some more action-oriented music which also includes the theme very prominently. (sadly it appears to be a very short piece, though).
When it comes to "Picard's Theme" there's another thing I would like to adress: For a while I thought the last time McCarthy used this theme was during season 3 - at least that's the last time I noticed it - however for a while I've read in an interview that he sneaked it into "Rascals", a season 6-episode. I haven't checked so I don't know if the particular track is worth including but if yes I sure would love to see it on Volume 2 (and maybe there are other examples from later seasons?) - I think that would bring some more continuity to the disc and would bridge McCarthy's "early" style with his more contempory style quite nicely.
Last but not least I would love to get the last track from "Time's Arrow Part II". This is one of the tracks which really stood out for me while watching the show, it sounds very melodic (and actually very DS9-ish).
Chattaway:
"Power Play", which features Chattaway's best action music writing for TNG (imho of course - and "Tin Man" aside, of course)
"Frame of Mind" - very unusual episode, and Chattaway handles that exceptional well in some outstanding myystery/suspense-like cues (when Riker tries to escape with the help of Enterprise-crewmembers and of course the music for the finale, where everything "falls apart").
I'm not sure if this would be possible, since GNPD Crescendo already released a track from this episode: "Birthright Part 1" - while I think "Data in Dreamland" is a very outstanding track for sure, I also really loved the music for the Worf/DS9-storyline from this first part in particular. Chattaway also references McCarthy's DS9-theme at one occasion (I think the only time this happened in TNG), and for me having some thematic material in the music can't hurt.
I also remember some talk in the old thread about Chattaway's music for that Las Vegas flight simulator thing. If I remember correctly Mr Thaxton said it would be tricky to include that, but if there's a chance for that I'd still love to see that happening.
Overall, I'm very happy that a second volume for TNG music seems to be a possibility again.

Are you sure you remember it from this episode? I think there are no action sequences in that show and I also do not remeber a use of the Picard theme there.
In Unnatural Selection, I think there is a search through the ship for something from Pulaski with her DNA on it, and they end up finding a hair...?

Thanks so much in advance for considering another TNG release. I also agree with some of the others that especially McCarthy's earlier (season 1-3 action music) should get some special attention. Here's my favorites list :-):
Hide & Q (the emotional cue where they find the injured girl on the planet)
The Arsenal of Freedom (all action cues, but especially the ship separation)
Conspiracy (course correction to Dytallix B and Horatio scene)
Contagion (is not remembered by many but it has a very good score)
Samaritan Snare (weak episode, but some very strong action music)
Peak Performance (action scenes are some of McCarthy's best ever)
The Ensigns of Command (first Sheliak vessel encounter)
The Survivors (ship attack cues are very strong)
The Enemy (opening cue on planet hell)
The Hunted (plenty of good action cues)
Transfigurations (Doe's escape)
Conundrum (teaser cue)
Tin Man (missing cues)
A Matter of Time
Hero Worship (opening scene on the damages ship)
Power Play
Frame of Mind
Gambit

I can't think of specific requests, but I'd be interested in some more McCarthy highlights in the later years of the series. The DS9 set revealed a lot of Generations-like music coming from McCarthy over the course of several years of that show (even aside from the action music quotations in The Die is Cast and the GNP release of Way of the Warrior), so I'd be interested in seeing if he was also writing more in the style of Generations toward the end of Next Generation.

If I can be greedy and ask for some more music from already-represented episodes, I'd go for two from Jay Chattaway:
1. Tin Man of course -- it was represented by a few cues on GNP's TNG Vol. 4, but that was more like a Chattaway compilation (because he hadn't gotten an album before) so it tried to hit more different episodes by representing less of each one. I wonder if that means GNP doesn't hold the rights as they do for many of their other Trek releases (but not the Best of Trek compilations, which is why FSM was able to put out Heart of Glory by Ron Jones complete in their box set).
2. A score on LLL's TNG Vol. 1 that blew me away: The Host. It was by far my favorite music on the set, with the possible exception of Fred Steiner's score. I wish it had been included complete instead of Dennis McCarthy's Haven, which was nice enough but not particularly memorable (even if it was too much so for Rick Berman)...

They included tracks from All Good Things on Vol 1 at Dennis McCarthy's request, so I'm not sure how they swung that.
In any case, hopefully they won't repeat anything next time around.

GNP holds the rights for Tin Man. They wouldn't play ball with FSM when they requested all of The Best Of Both Worlds, only a small handful of previous cues. Chances are they may not play ball with LLL.
As for TIN MAN, the suite represented on the GNP CD is what Jay wanted and does include the meat of the score and even has a cue that didn't even end up in the show.
So as far as I'm concerned, that case is closed on that one.
