Now only 7 copies at Varese, hurry if you want a copy at 17,98$. This soundtrack was a discovery for me, the samples talks for themselves and I had to go with it.

I played my old vinyl LP of this last night and it saved me 20 dollars. It's mainly tense, atmospheric music and the main theme reminds me too much of Harnell's HULK theme and, to a lesser extent, Goldsmith's CASSANDRA CROSSING, to stand up on it's own. I hope Varese will finally release TOURIST TRAP by Donaggio. Now there's an LP that really needs a proper CD issue.

Well if you are right I'm sure someone will gladly buy an unwanted copy if someone here doesn't really like it.
You know, Lukas Kendall has mentioned in the past the similarity between BRASS TARGET and both THE CASSANDRA CROSSING and THE INCREDIBLE HULK themes. I agreed with him. But I didn't mean (and I don't think Lukas did either) that BRASS TARGET sounds anything like the other two as a whole. We're talking the first four notes of a theme here, on piano. I think if anybody put on a random selection of cues from BRASS TARGET (or CASSANDRA or HULK), they'd find it difficult to hear much in common beyond those plaintive four notes.
I just listened to my copy today, and the fidelity is absolutely great!!! An absolute honor to put Varese Sarabande's first soundtrack album on C.D. in this manner!!!

I played the recent Varese Brass Target this morning, followed a little later by the Cassandra Crossing suite (Raine). At first I thought I'd put on Brass Target again by mistake and actually got up to change it! I then came here to look up some old Brass Target threads to see if the similarity had been noted by others, and sure enough...
