http://waxworkrecords.com/blogs/news/49234885-evil-dead-2

Waxwork Records is extremely thrilled to announce that we will be releasing the score to EVIL DEAD 2! Directed by Sam Raimi with a classic score composed by Joseph LoDuca, EVIL DEAD 2 is our personal favorite film in the EVIL DEAD TRILOGY. We are beyond excited to release the soundtrack to one of our favorite films in the most deluxe LP packaging available.
But here's the kicker: We're letting YOU, the fans, design the LP release! This is certainly unchartered territory for any record label, but we feel that this film and score is a beloved horror gem, and only the hardest of the hardcore EVIL DEAD 2 fans can come up with the BEST possible LP package.
Over the next few weeks, we will allow any one and every one of you hardcore DEADITES to choose the artist, the vinyl colors, contribute liner notes, and more! Waxwork will set up a polling system that will allow you to choose how YOU would like our upcoming EVIL DEAD 2 deluxe soundtrack to look, feel, and more!
EVIL DEAD 2 is scheduled as a 2016 release. Put your thinking caps on, polish your chainsaws, and let's get groovy.

No word yet on whether it'll be expanded or not.

I like what I'm seeing so far, hopefully they can keep the tone of the movies alive throughout the show.

ASH VS EVIL DEAD starts tomorrow! Haven't seen anything about LoDuca's score, but that's something else to look forward to.

EDIT: ShockTillYouDrop mention the score in their review.

"Literally, in every sense, ASH VS. EVIL DEAD is an evolution of substance and form and that goes for returning composer Joseph LoDuca’s fine work, an amplification of his original themes that pushes the action forward."

Mondo have released details on their ARMY OF DARKNESS vinyl. Same program as the CD.

So, anyone watch it?

Great score from LoDuca, which did indeed reprise a couple of the themes and motifs from EVIL DEAD 1 and 2.

I watched Ash VS Evil Dead and it was a lot better than I had expected! With its twisted sense of comedy this at least feels at home in the franchise (as opposed to the too serious remake) and there were some killer sequences and effects, and it's cool to see Campbell back in the role that made him famous.

The score was also nice with some throwbacks to the earlier ones like you point out, I really hope a release is in the works. Had a fun time and hope it will stay alive for a couple of seasons at least.

I enjoyed it as well. Going to definitely keep watching.

I really hope a release is in the works.

LoDuca seems to have a lot of support from Varese and La-La Land, both of whom released previous entries in the franchise, so I can't imagine we won't see it on CD at some point.

Let's hope in that regard we'll see a similar website as the Back to the future trilogy expansions/reissues soon, I wouldn't mind an Evil Dead renaissance striking while the chainsaw is hot.

Yeah, I noticed one specific spoiler in there, but it's vague enough to not be a concern.

Unless I missed something...

Okay, just watched the latest episode and the re-recording of "Give Us Some Skin" I linked to in the first post is used in a flashback. Dunno what this means for it in terms of the release of NIGHTMARE RE-IMAGINED or if the cue is included on the AVSED album (which is $11.99 on Amazon at the moment).

Either way, loving the shit out of this show.

Varese posted an interview with LoDuca today which included this intriguing snippet...

"I am super-excited for Season 2 and my upcoming Evil Dead related projects Stay tuned!"

Hopefully, this means NIGHTMARE RE-IMAGINED might still be on the cards...
