I picked this set up as well. I've only listened to one disc so, the Spielberg/Williams Collaboration. To my ears, it sounded better than the original CD release. A little louder, better spread. My original CD is tucked away but I'm curious if anyone else has compared them.

Hi Mike! Unfortunately I don't have the original cd to compare it to, but maybe this set was remastered!
Ok I did it... 20 CD... 20 tracks. A kind of sampler of this wonderfull boxset if you want to start somewhere. :-)

Maybe a bit old hat now, but although the price varies wildly , averaging around £90 -£100 in the UK, there are copies to be had on Amazon UK for £26 plus postage, which is the price I paid. You don't have to be a mathematical wizard to work out that is a very good deal indeed!!!
Perhaps at that price I wouldn't have been interested but, owning so many already, the collection will have to be significantly reduced in price for me to be tempted.

Well, 5 months on ... that selling price has been significantly reduced - GBP24.99 free delivery NEW - a price even I can't resist. Thanks, HARRYO, for the info ... though my better-half is unlikely to thank you!

I already owned 19 out of the 20 when this was announced, so I spent one cent plus shipping on Amazon for a used copy of Gershwin Fantasy and now I have them all.
I saw this too. I would love to own it, but as you pointed out we don't know what Amazon's regular price is, so it's difficult to determine if this is a great deal or not. Wal-Mart is currently selling it for the exact same price as Amazon and Barnes and Noble has it for $108.14. I don't know how helpful that information is though.
