TJ, in the circumstances he described. It is my goal this year to get him to eat Indian food. I met JJH in Vegas, and had to dislocate my neck to get into his tiny car before he scared me half to death with a Brian Tyler score. Hornerfan, but we tend to talk about Major League Soccer more frequently than we talk about film scores these days! Carlton, aka Thulsa Doom, spent a day wandering around New York City together. I'm not sure who else posts here who I know... I mean, I've spent many a happy hour with Geoff Leonard, Peter Briggs, David Wishart (RIP), Paul Tonks, Tom Daish, Glen Aitken, Gareth Bramley back in the day. Jens Dietrich, Christian Kuhn, Peter Simons, Brendan Anderson, and several of the old gang from Filmtracks's heyday.

A few years ago (5 or 6), I hosted an FSM/MM party at my place in San Diego and met som eof the guys from both places. I've met Lukas a few times, Brad Wills is one of my dearest friends, I went to a Goldsmith Concert and met a few more and this afternoon... Well...this afternoon, I COULD have met a few more, whoever attended the Youth Symphony Orchestra performance of Jerry Goldsmith's TWILIGHT ZONE - THE INVADERS. Amazing performances. David Newman, the conductor, was a hoot and did a great job. Mr. Burlingame hosted and Carol and Joel Goldsmith were both in attendance (although Carol snuck out early). Robert Townson was there, as was legendary copmposer/harmonica player Tommy Morgan, composer Bob Drasnin, composer/historian Michael Lloyd and Twilight Zone expert Marc Zicree. The panel was interesting, imformative and not without a couple of giggle moments. It was a Goldsmith love-a-thon and well worth the time to attend. Due to where I live (3 hours away in Palm Springs), I was unable to attend the 7pm concert performance and am saddened by this, but it really couldn't be helped. I have to be up at 6am in the morning and I am a hateful morning person. Having said that, there were people there I recognized but either were intimidated by my new haircut or didn't recognize me at all. I was stuck standing in line (the two people I came with wandered off) and I couldn't leave to go over to them and chat. Would have liked to, though. Some people I thought would be there didn't show and that saddened me a little, but that's okay. I saw some people I THOUGHT might be people I should know...and we stared at each other, but who knows if they were plotting my death, wondering if I was single or just noticing that my new haircut was slightly intimidating. In any event, the bottom line is that I met no one at the event. Heavy sigh. If anyone who WAS there for the 2pm show wants to say hello and that they WERE there, I'd like to say hi...better late than never, I suppose. Joe P.S. JJH is just RUDE.

One of these days I want to meet a couple of the FSMers here in Dallas/Ft Worth. Its been hard not having anyone to talk to about scores since my bud, Dan passed on. Mick

I have met Lukas Kendall (when he was but a child), Nick Redman (when he had a pony tail), and more recently Morricone and tomorrow I'm meeting Manderley. Of course, I've met Preston several times, and Daniel Schweiger, and Ford and Doug Fake.
