I may be being over-sensitive here, but if you DO send this thread to Mr. Kunzel, it might be an idea to delete all the 'it's going to be a tough battle' references. Plus this here post too of course.

Good point...done...:-)

Oh yah there were a few I was going to leave out!! Just so sad, I sent him a VERY nice note and card today, I hope it gives him a moment to smile.

I'm going to be sending Erich this thread along with my card tomorrow morning so if you want to put a nice note on this thread go ahead. I'll be removing some comments that I don't want him to see!

Thanks guys and gals

I have listened to Star Tracks I and II (amongst others) so many times I have certainly lost count after so many years, and each time the music never fails to bring a smile of pure soundtrack bliss to my face. In many instances the performances are better than the original soundtrack recordings, not to mention the superb Telarc sound quality!

I wish you all the very best for a SPEEDY recovery Mr Kunzel, and THANK YOU so much for all your wonderful music!

God Bless,

- John

I've listened to his record albums and CDs with deep appreciation and admiration for so many years now. I'm so sorry to just now read of his illness and I do most sincerely wish him all the best there is. Although I came close a few times, I regret that I never had the pleasure to see Maestro Kunzel conducting live in concert. I thought of attending the recent Kunzel-conducts-John-Williams concert, but I just could not get out of town. I'm heartened to read here that that concert was a great success for Mr. Kunzel.

Best wishes for a full recovery!

Ron Burbella

I've purchased over 50 different recordings over the years and enjoy them.

Very sad news indeed. I know I own, probably at least half of those 98 recordings and I love them all.

And so the battle ends. Farewell Mr. Kunzel. You leave behind a fine legacy, and many friends you never knew.
