I suspect others will do the same, i.e. this is one of those cases where I think the limited quantity paradigm will definitely stoke sales and maybe cause the title to sell way more than it would have done in the old 'unlimited' days, I think. Which is cool if that helps more obscure titles come out, I guess. Listening to the samples, I'm betting that BROTHERHOOD OF THE BELL was scored right next to THE MEPHISTO WALTZ as they seem so very cut from the same cloth. Wendkos evidently was happy with Goldsmith's BELL score and asked him to score MEPHISTO the very next year for him. I believe they possibly first met and worked together in early TV, on PLAYHOUSE 90, STUDIO ONE, G.E. Definitely not my taste in music. I don't know how people can be so completionist that they buy something without listening to samples, but then I do have sort of specific tastes and this era of Jazz scoring isn't within that taste. But I love Goldsmith from this period, and I actually think a lot of his television scoring is even more fascinating than his feature scoring (not all!), because he had to be creative with more limited resources. I also dismiss a lot of releases out of hand, without listening to the clips.
