n! Intrada had to deal with Eastwood's production company Malpaso to get, Escape From Alcatraz, . Did they? That was a Paramount film that was also "A Siegel Film" in other words, unlike his Warner/Malpaso films Clint did not have total rights bruce

There are a couple of documentaries and, of course, A LOT of TV work. The one I find most intriguing is "The Deadly Trackers"....an unreleased Fielding Western? A must have. I have not seen the film in ages, so I don't remember if the music is original, tracked or whatever. "The Deadly Trackers" is filled with stock music culled from "The Wild Bunch".

I'm a relatively new Fielding aficionado. Other than Josey Wales, how many other outstanding Fielding scores are due for a release or expanded re-release? Chris. FILM SCORES "Johnny Got His Gun" "Junior Bonner" "The Outlaw Josey Wales" (original recording+album) "The Gauntlet" (C&C) Apart from the above mentioned film scores, I wonder if "Advise & Consent" was presented complete and chronological?

Review (in French) http://melomad.wordpress.com/2013/06/30/beyond-the-poseidon-adventure-jerry-fieldingintrada/ I read this negative review and the author had a conventional mindset and prefered Williams. Do you read French ? My review is far from negative and I don't prefer Williams' Poseidon, where did you read that ? In fact, Fielding's theme is much stronger. The review is negative because it states it's a boring score. Aside from the main theme, you don't find the score interesting. I don't agree with you. I find this score exciting and powerful, in my opinion. Oh, can you please don't use the word 'underscore' in your French review? Use the equivalent word, for the sake of the French language. Thank you.

I wrote that the body of the score can be boring for non-Fielding fans (I'm a BIG fan of his work) and is not as strong as its incredibly powerful theme, which is not the same thing. I also point that the score is dense, rich and complex. If you call that negative... And I use English terms if I want. It's not like " underscore " can't be understood by French film music fans. Mais il faut bien reconnaître qu’en dehors du mémorable thème évoqué plus haut (également repris dans une prise alternative dirigée par son orchestrateur Lennie Niehaus), l’ennui guette. Underscore : musique de fond. The use of scherzo is valid.
