I've tried, but I just cannot listen to film music in the car. In fact, I can't listen to anything in the car. I need silence when driving. And I need silence when I'm working, even when I'm working from home. I can't cope with distractions, and less so if I feel it's something worthwhile which should warrant my full attention. Due to this affliction, I often only hear about an hour of film music a week. What a waste of a collection. But my wife tells me I have "a man's brain", so I take that as a compliment - although, thinking about it...

Oh my. I listen to it every chance I get. I sit at my desktop at home surfing the Net listening to something all the time. I HAVE to have something playing. UNLESS I am really trying to concentrate on something difficult, because then I need quiet.

We're very different there, barryfan. I'd like to have more time to sit down and really listen to my music - which is the only way I can do it, and the only way I want to do it. But I'd hate to have music going on all the time. That would drive me mad. I don't like my films overscored, and the same applies to my life.

Probably not as the car has other issues and I am looking at replacing the car within the next week or so.

Independence Day-Limited Edition by Lalaland, just got this gave it a first spin in the car yesterday.

It seems I only listen to my filmscores now in the car, either with my iPod or sometimes on CD, which is what I prefer. My iPod is used as a convenience if I don't have a stack of CD's with me.

My Mazda3 has a 10 speaker Bose system which kicks some serious butt. When I travel to Florida to visit my Dad I pack about 20+ CDs in a carrying case and put them in my 5 CD changer. It really helps the trip go by much faster.

It is likely I will be getting a "New to Me" car later today. Now the burning question is which cd to slide into the player first? So many choices. smile
